5 Ways to Affordably Upgrade Your Kitchen

As they say, kitchens and baths sell houses. It’s because money invested into these rooms are often responsible for greatly improving the value and desirability of a home. Today I’m going to share five different ways you can affordably upgrade your kitchen, featuring under-cabinet lights from AUVON.

1. Install under-cabinet lights.

Whenever I see pictures of very high-end kitchens, there are always under-cabinet lights that help to illuminate the countertops. That used to be something that required a professional for installation. However, now with the Under Cabinet Lights from AUVON, it’s easy to create this look for your own kitchen quickly and affordably.

I love the brightness of these lights, which produce a wide range in lumens (from 2LM to 260LM.) Also, keep in mind that the lights can be installed in other rooms of the house, such as a bathroom, bedroom, hallway or closet.

One feature that’s really amazing about these lights is the motion sensor. Unlike other brands on the market, the motion sensor on this AUVON unit is inclined at a precise angle for long-distance detection. After keeping it in my kitchen for several days, I have found that the motion sensor is very accurate; it’s calibrated perfectly.

This Under Cabinet Light is rechargeable and powerful. I love that with this unit, there’s no need to worry about replacing batteries. All I have to do is simply recharge it when it runs out of power. In addition to an On & Off setting, the light can also be placed into a Night Auto mode or a 24 Hours Auto mode.

The Light comes with magnetic strips for easy, stress-free installation. I simply placed mine right underneath my cabinets. Thanks to the double-sided 3M adhesive pads, these magnets will stay put for a long time.

The package comes with 1 AUVON Under Cabinet Light, 2 Magnetic pads with 3M adhesive pad, 1 USB cable, 1 User Manual, 1 Warranty and Lifetime Technical Support.

2. Install new cabinet hardware.

Another big-impact upgrade in the kitchen is simply replacing the handles and knobs on your kitchen cabinets. It’s a fairly inexpensive project that only takes 30 minutes to complete. Popular options nowadays include stainless steel or gold-toned hardware.

3. Paint the walls.

Painting a room’s walls is always a fun way to spruce up any space. Consider painting your kitchen’s walls for an easy way to make over the room in one afternoon. We painted our kitchen a few years ago and it was one of the best updates we’ve made to the room.

4. Update the counters.

Replacing the counters can be costly indeed. However, there are products on the market nowadays that can help you revamp the counters without needing to completely replace them. For example, there’s a method to apply a faux-granite look to the counters that elevates the space very inexpensively.

5. Paint the cabinets.

If your kitchen has cabinets with an undesirable finish, consider painting the cabinets. We painted our kitchen cabinets when we moved in because the original cabinets had a maple finish and that didn’t go with our design style. So we painted the cabinets white and it instantly made the space feel more spacious & more modern.
