I enjoy decorating the house for every holiday, but Halloween holds a special place in my heart. From the scary spiderwebs to the creepy witches, there is so much to love about Halloween. I recently visited my local Dollar Tree to pick up supplies to create a spook-tacular gallery wall in my home. It was a very affordable project and I can’t wait to share all the details!
DIY Dollar Tree Halloween Gallery Wall
From the Halloween section of Dollar Tree, I picked up: Creepy Cloth, Window Decorations, Large Googly Eyes, Skeleton Garland, Skeleton and Mirror. From the picture frame section, I picked up an 8×10 picture frame, a 3-photo collage frame, and a mirror – all in black. Did you know that Dollar Tree is the largest single-price-point retailer in the country? I have been a loyal shopper at Dollar Tree for so many years thanks to the wide selection of high-quality merchandise. I always pick up adorable stuff in the stationery, kitchen, organization, and seasonal categories, among many others. To buy the items listed in this project, visit Dollar Tree in-store or online at DollarTree.com.
Now, it’s time to start assembling our individual pieces. Let’s start with those large googly eyes and the 8×10 frame. Simply remove the cardboard backing and glass from the picture frame. We will be hanging the picture frame on the wall with mounting tape and adhering the googly eyes directly to the wall with double-stick tape. I love how the picture frame resembles the outline of a spooky face!
Now’s let’s work on the next piece, which uses the Skeleton Garland and the 3-photo collage frame. Again, remove the glass and cardboard backing from the picture frame. Using random lengths of black thread, hang the skeletons from the top of the frame. We will be adhering the frame directly to the wall with mounting tape.
Finally, let’s prepare our spider web mirror, using the black mirror, Spider Window Decorations, the Creepy Cloth and small plastic spiders. Adhere the spider web window decorations directly to the mirror. Drape the creepy cloth along the top edge of the frame. To add a bit more interest to our gallery wall, we will be adhering some extra window decorations & the small black spiders directly to the wall beneath the mirror.
Now, let’s put everything together. I placed all the pieces on the wall and admired the result. I really love how everything came together. Since Dollar Tree buys in mass quantities, they are able to offer amazing value to their customers in-store and online at Dollartree.com. This spooky gallery wall adds a fun Halloween element to our house. I love that I was able to get a big impact without spending a fortune.
Notice how the skeletons all hang at different levels- simply use varying lengths of thread to create this look. I think this boosts the creepiness factor of the overall look!
The spiderweb mirror with the hanging spiders building their own web adds a 3-dimensional interest to the wall.
Look for all these products and more at one of the thousands of Dollar Tree stores throughout the 48 contiguous states and get your home decked out for Halloween this year! Every item at Dollar Tree boasts a $1 per unit price-point (or less) so consumers can get more bang for their buck on a fun variety of products, including many national and regional brands. *If you plan on purchasing Halloween products after 9/26/17, you must visit your local Dollar Tree store.
Don’t forget to visit Dollar Tree in-store or online at DollarTree.com to re-create this project yourself. Now, I’d love to hear from you. Are you a fan of Dollar Tree? Did you decorate for Halloween yet? What is your favorite element from my gallery wall?
