We made the mistake a few years ago of not backing up our data, and we had a power surge. Lost a lot of data. Lesson learned. We back up more often now. Great post for those who may not have thought about backing up their data.
Backing up your data is highly important, especially if you’re a blogger! My whole life is on my computer, and I’d be devastated if I lost my data!
Earlier this year my kid broke his ankle and was on crutches. He was getting up and his crutch went right through MY laptop. I love everything. I was in tears when he phoned me to tell me. Luckily we were able to retrieve the files but it cost me a lot of time and aggravation and I was so glad I had backed up fave photos and files a couple of days before.

I have an external hard drive. I couldn’t survive without it. We have so many large photo files!
This is totally true and very informative. Nowadays, its always good to keep your data safe and secured all the time.
I need to be better about backing things up. I had my website hacked a couple years ago and lost most of my work because everything online was corrupted. So I definitely learned a lesson!

This is such an important reminder as we keep more and more online these days. I once was able to recover a hard drive when it crashed – now I back up.
These are definitely important reasons. If something should go wrong with the information on my blog I would want it all backed up. I really need to do something about that.

These are great reasons to back up your computer. I’ve lost important files in the past for not backing them up and I paid the price for it. Now I do so regularly, to not make that mistake again.
I made that mistake earlier this Summer when I walked away from my computer and my cats walked on my keyboard. Hit delete and wiped out all my files. Now I back them up monthly AND make sure my recycle bin is set so that files don’t get permanently deleted.
