I love making my own DIY wooden shelves, as it’s a fairly easy woodworking project, the final product is completely customizable and it’s much more affordable than buying pre-made shelves at the store. I have made these DIY wooden triangle shelves and more recently, these DIY wooden letter shelves. Keep in mind that I don’t own a circular saw or any other fancy equipment. We live in a condo presently, and I whipped together both of these projects using only a miter box and hand saw purchased from the home improvement store for less than $10.
The best part of having new shelves in a room, in my opinion, is having fresh real estate to style and decorate! 🙂 I am always on the lookout for new shelving projects to keep me busy and exercise my skills with the saw. We will be moving soon (hopefully! – as long as these post-inspection negotiations keep moving forward) and I will be putting fun new wooden shelves in (almost) every room. So I am searching for fun and unique wooden shelf ideas, so here are my favorite options so far! Leather Strapped Ledges: How unique is this? This shelf is supported by leather! This would be really cool in an office!
